Annual General Meeting and Annual Review 2011/12


Our Annual General Meeting took place recently at the Letchworth Hall Hotel. Nearly 30 people attended the meeting and two spotlight items talked about our Getting Carers Connected project and our Carers’ Cafes that are now expanding into new areas.

Looking back it has been an excellent year. A huge amount has been achieved to the end of March 2012 and much is still being accomplished with some exciting developments ahead. Some of our new developments and success stories include:

  • The Carers’ Café at the day centre in Stevenage has been a great success
  • Carer’s groups have started in Hatfield and Hitchin with others planned
  • Our Getting Carers Connected project is helping carers to get online and has attracted many volunteers who are passing on their IT skills to carers
  • We have developed new services to provide support for people with mental health needs
