As part of Carers Week 2014, local family carers from Stevenage, Hitchin and Letchworth enjoyed a fun game of bingo and entertainment.
Sheelagh Taylor, Chief Executive for Crossroads Care Hertfordshire North opened the event and welcomed the Carers and guests. She introduced Cllr. Sherma Batson, MBE the Mayor of Stevenage who commented “It is important that carers are given a break and get time away from the stress and isolation of their caring activities. This was a fun activity and the carers enjoyed themselves. I am delighted that the Mecca Bingo in Stevenage part of the Rank Organisation are supporting the charity in this way.”
Crossroads Care Hertfordshire North in partnership with the Rank Organisation who manage the Mecca Bingo in Stevenage organised the session. Nick Cook, General Manager for Mecca Bingo said “Rank Cares are delighted to support Crossroads Care a local charity who provide breaks for family carers. Our staff will be supporting the charity throughout the year with a range of fundraising activities.”
