Students from Barnwell School in Stevenage volunteered on a busy Saturday morning and did a Charity Bag Pack for Crossroads Care.
Benny the Bear was there to support the team of seven who were managed by Martyn Patching their teacher and Assistant Head of the School.
They raised £374.74 for the charity
Martyn said ‘At Barnwell we run a very successful and effective Ambassador System as part of our student leadership programme. We value the opportunity to work with our local communities to help others less fortunate than ourselves. We get involved in all aspects of school life as well as raising money for a number of the school’s link charities. We were very happy that we were able to help Crossroads Care with the bag pack at Sainsbury’s Hitchin.’
