Fundraising Efforts for Charity of the Year

Crossroads Care Hertfordshire North are the chosen charity for Cllr. Jane Gray, Chairman of North Herts District Council during her year of office. In early September she kindly hosted a charity Garden Party in the grounds of her home.

The event was a huge success with really positive feedback from the guests who enjoyed an afternoon of hospitality and entertainment in lovely surroundings. Money raised from the event has now been counted with a grand total of £4,000 being raised for Crossroads Care.

Cllr. Jane Gray said “I am absolutely delighted with the amount we raised at the Garden Party and would like to thank all those who so generously supported us. I am so pleased to have played a part in what we have achieved so far for Crossroads during my year as Chairman of North Herts District Council and I look forward to future events where we can further raise the profile of this very worthy charity and bolster their funds at the same time.”

Commenting on the funds raised Sheelagh Taylor, Chief Executive said “We are extremely lucky to have Jane’s support in this way and delighted with the funds that have been raised for the charity. The money will help us to give more carers a well earned break.”
