Care Manager for Self-Funded Clients
My name is Kiri Stratieva and I work as a Care Manager for self-funded clients.
I joined Crossroad in July 2014, inspired by the idea of helping unpaid carers in North Hertfordshire and bringing light into their lives. I feel honoured to work for an organisation, run by a highly professional team with a strong moral ethos.
My job role includes organising and implementing high quality services to a diverse range of clients within the community. In part we achieve this through assessing, care planning and allocating a team of suitable support workers to assist vulnerable individuals within the community.
My career in the Health and Social Care sector started in January 2003, when I worked as a health care assistant in a 160 bed nursing home for elderly people. It was a blissful experience for me as I have found how satisfied people can be when giving the best of themselves in order to support the ones in need.
Within my career development I have gained a great understanding of my clients’ physical, emotional and social needs, which, I believe, is the core of providing good care. I have supported clients with a variety of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, sensory impairments and mental health issues.
My professional qualifications, related to the care sector are: QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership; A1 Assessor Award for NVQ candidates; Chartered Management Institute Certificate. I have also a Masters Degree in Economics.
