Linda Carlton-Smith

Care Co-ordinator

My name is Linda Carlton-Smith and I have been a Care Co-ordinator at Crossroads Care Hertfordshire North since October 2012. Prior to this I was a Carer Support Worker for 2 years working in the county with our carers and clients. This gave me a deep understanding of the life of a carer and cared for and the problems they can sometimes face. I came to this from a background working in the education sector, for the NHS, and at a residential care home for people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions.

My role at Crossroads Care Hertfordshire North involves acting as a first point of contact for carers and those they care for in an efficient, effective and client focused way. My role involves receiving and processing referrals for care packages, liaising with the Carer Support Workers scheduling their visits and managing their workloads, ensuring the database is accurate and up to date and generally ensuring a quality service is maintained at all times.

I have a Level III diploma in Health and Social Care (adults) as well as training in working with Autism, children with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, Makaton sign language and I am a trained counsellor.
