In response to a growing demand for respite breaks for unpaid family carers, Crossroads Care Hertfordshire North are shaping themselves as a charity to respond to this need.
With this in mind, a number of new staff have recently been recruited and in particular three new Area Managers who will each manage a team of Care Planners, Assessors and Support Workers.
The Area Manager for the north of Hertfordshire, Violet Masters, has recently been appointed and her area includes Stevenage, North Hertfordshire and surrounding villages. Violet is based at the Crossroads Care offices in Hitchin and runs a team of over 40 workers who provide respite breaks across her area. However this team is still too small to keep up with demand for carers respite and are we are actively recruiting for more Support Workers to join her team.
Violet comes to Crossroads highly qualified with a background in Social Care and in her previous roles worked her way up from being a Support Worker to her present qualification as Registered Care Manager.
When asked about her new role Violet said “I am really excited about the challenge of this new role and working with my team. Crossroads Care Hertfordshire North provide services to local carers giving them much needed breaks that can make a huge difference to their quality of life.”
Crossroads Care are proud of their team of experienced Support Workers who provide breaks for Carers in the home. They are all highly trained in Social Care to meet the needs of our clients and to deliver the dedicated and flexible service that Carers expect from us.
