Crossroads Care Hertfordshire North launched their Carers Week 2013 activities in style with a ‘red carpet’ film premiere at the Broadway Cinema in Letchworth Garden City thanks to the support of the Garden City Heritage Foundation.
More than 100 guests including carers and volunteers enjoyed the film and then were treated to coffee and cakes thanks to the generosity of Sami Colvin owner of La Concha Bar and Restaurant – a regular supporter of the Charity.
Oliver Heald MP QC attended the event and joined Sheelagh Taylor, Chief Executive, Geoff Brown Chair of Crossroads Trustees, Cllr. Jane Gray Chairman of NHDC and Colin Chatfield, Chair of the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation on the red carpet before the show.
Oliver Heald said “The film was extremely well produced, showing the vital contribution made by carers and what a lifeline Crossroads Care is. By providing respite, support groups and Carers’ Cafes, Crossroads enables carers to continue to provide care to their loved ones. I hope the film helps to spread the word about the support available to carers through Crossroads Care.”
